Terms of service

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory and legally able to enter into a contract to use CollabNorth. If you are using CollabNorth on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secret and for any activity that happens on your account. Enable multi-factor authentication for accounts with billing access. Tell us at support@collabnorth.ca if you suspect unauthorized use.

Use CollabNorth to create and manage invoices, estimates, and related records for your own business. Don't use it to break the law, harass people, send unsolicited bulk email, or reverse-engineer the service.

• Free trial. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial by default. Trial length may vary if you redeem a promotion code.
• Promotion codes. Codes are validated by Stripe. Some codes waive the trial and start billing immediately at the discounted amount.
• Renewal. Paid subscriptions renew monthly at the price shown at checkout, in Canadian dollars, until you cancel.
• Cancellation. Cancel any time from the Stripe billing portal linked in your CollabNorth billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; you keep paid features until then.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails we keep your paid features for a short grace period while Stripe retries. If payment still hasn't succeeded, your business reverts to the Starter plan. Your records are preserved.
• Starter plan. The Starter plan is free with monthly limits (currently 5 issued invoices per calendar month, single user). Limits and features may change.

CollabNorth is Early Access software. We may add, change, or remove features. We will try to give reasonable notice for changes that affect your plan or workflow.

You keep ownership of the invoices, customers, and other records you create. You grant CollabNorth the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that content to operate the service on your behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of critical business records. We recommend exporting your data periodically. Contact support@collabnorth.ca if you need help exporting during Early Access.

We work hard to keep CollabNorth available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service during Early Access. Scheduled maintenance and occasional outages may happen.

Don't upload malware, attempt to overwhelm the service, or use CollabNorth to send content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

CollabNorth is software and does not provide accounting, legal, or tax advice. Tax calculations follow the rules and rates you configure and the profiles you assign to products and services. You are responsible for reviewing your invoices and consulting a qualified professional for advice about your specific situation.
