Estimates to invoices
Send an estimate, get it accepted, and turn it into an invoice without typing it twice.
Send an estimate
- Open Invoices, then the Estimates tab, and tap New estimate.
- Add the lines just like an invoice. Set how long it is valid and, if you want one, a deposit.
- Send it. The customer gets a link where they can read it and accept it.
You'll get an alert when the customer opens it (you can turn this off in Settings, then Notifications), and a reminder goes to the customer before it expires.
When the customer says yes
- Online: they accept from the link. You see it on the estimate.
- By phone, email or in person: open the estimate and tap Mark as accepted. Add who accepted and how.
If the estimate has a deposit, a deposit invoice is created as a draft. See Deposits and progress invoices.
Convert to invoice
On an accepted estimate, tap Convert to invoice. The lines, customer and tax carry over, and any deposit comes off as a deduction. Check it, then send.
