Security and two-step sign-in
Protect your account with an authenticator app, and sign out of devices you don't use.
Your books hold your customers' details and your income. Two-step sign-in is the best way to protect them.
Turn on two-step sign-in
- Open the gear menu, then Account security.
- Under Two-step verification, start setup.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, such as 1Password, Authy or Google Authenticator.
- Enter the 6-digit code it shows.
From then on, you enter a code from the app when you sign in.
Have a backup
There are no printable recovery codes. To avoid getting locked out, either:
- save the setup secret in a password manager, or
- add a second authenticator on another device.
If you lose access anyway, email support from the address on your account so we can check it's you.
Other settings
- Password. Change it any time.
- Email address. Change the email you sign in with.
- Active sessions. Sign out everywhere if you used a shared or lost device.
Some sensitive changes, like your e-Transfer details, ask you to sign in again first.
